Primary Office Closed

Please be aware that the Primary School Office is closed from Friday, 30 March to Tuesday, 17 April. The College Office at the Middle and Secondary Campus will remain open during this time, except for the public holidays.

Financial Assistant and Payroll Officer Position

The College is seeking to appoint a Financial Assistant and Payroll Officer, tentatively commencing on Monday, 23 April 2018. The successful applicant must possess a strong work ethic and a proven ability to work independently and in a team. A minimum of five years in a similar environment is required. School Banking Position

Are you interested in volunteering with the School Banking program? We are looking for another parent helper to assist on Tuesdays mornings with sorting and counting money at the Primary School. A computer is supplied, as well as coffee and a chat. If this is something that appeals to you, please contact Mr James Collins by emailing jcollins@brisbanechristiancollege.com.au.

ICAS Testing

Every year our College invites our parents and caregivers to allow their children to participate in the external ICAS exams, which involves a series of tests across a range of disciplines. The tests are run during school time on dates that are set by the University of New South Wales. Every child who participates receives a certificate.

There are several advantages of participating in nationally based external exams. They give you a gauge as to how your child is performing in certain areas across a broad spectrum of schools and colleges. You will receive detailed feedback with the certificate about specific strengths, and areas needing further attention for your child to improve in the subject assessed. Regardless of how your child performs, the ICAS certificate is a useful record to keep in your child’s resume of scholastic achievement. Read More …
