As we celebrate National Chaplaincy Week, we want to honour our amazing Chaplains. We are so blessed at Brisbane Christian College to be supported by an caring team of Pastors and Chaplains who love and nurture our children and the community. The Chaplaincy team consists of our College Pastors and our School Chaplains, who work across both campuses to provide a safe point of contact for our young people to connect with at school.
They provide a listening ear, caring presence, and a message of hope. They care for all students and offer support spiritually and emotionally as needed. As the chaplaincy team, they work on the ground level available for students to talk to, often through casual conversations in the playground.
Along with a team of staff and students, the Chaplaincy team offers programs and voluntary spiritual groups for students to participate; including prayer groups, guys and girls devotional groups and adapted programs such as the Shine and Strength programs. The Chaplaincy team is also responsible for our School Chapel services, where our students get to hear from a range of dynamic speakers every week. The Chaplaincy team works very closely with the College Counsellor, College Management Team and staff members to assist our children as they navigate the ups and downs of life with caring and Godly guidance.
Please show your support for our chaplains by posting a comment below to encourage and appreciate what these special people bring to our community.
