Sport plays an important role in developing the whole child with many opportunities presented. Primary gymnastics, AFL, tennis, inter-school sport, swimming lessons and inter-College carnivals competing in athletics, swimming and cross country are a few of the opportunities available.

Friday Afternoon Sport

Preparation and training for district sports Gala days takes place every Friday afternoon for Secondary School students.

Internal Inter-House Sport

Students have the opportunity to compete in a variety of sport. Brisbane Christian College has six College Houses: Bernall, Livingston and Pascal, Wesley, Newton and Carey.

External Inter-School Sport

Students have the opportunity to compete against other schools in the following sports events in swimming, athletics and cross-country.

  • CSSA Primary Carnival (Selection based on College Carnivals)
  • District Primary Swimming (Selection based on College Carnivals)
  • Sandstorm.

Who is ZTennis?

Owner and Director John Zelinski has over 20 years in the Tennis Coaching industry having worked with all levels of players over that time. He is a Club Professional Coach who is also currently the Head Coach/Director of Coaching at Emerson Tennis Centre, Milton.

ZTennis has been providing the School with a Tennis Coaching program for the past 7 years

All ZTennis coaches are Qualified Tennis Professionals.

What is ANZ Tennis Hot Shots?

Kids progress through 4 stages: Blue, Red, Orange and Green. Guided by qualified Tennis Australia coaches, kids are encouraged to develop at their own pace, moving on to the next stage when they are ready.

Using Modified balls and Equipment each child is suited to their appropriate class based on age and level

Classes and times –

  • Tuesday – RED STAGE 7:50am-8:30am
  • Wednesday – BLUE STAGE (PREPS) 8:00am-8:30am
  • Thursday – ORANGE STAGE 7:50am-8:30am
  • Friday – GREEN STAGE 7:50am-8:30am
  • Friday – HOT SHOTS LEAGUE (Coached Match play)

Every Monday afternoon we offer training on campus through the South Western Metro Pirates Basketball association for any students in Years 1-4
