International Students

International studies

Brisbane Christian College welcomes students from overseas who wish to further their studies in Australia. Families at Brisbane Christian College enjoy a diversity of cultures. One-fifth of our students are born overseas, with our international students joining us from countries such as Vietnam, China, India, Papua New Guinea, Korea and Taiwan. The inclusive culture of the College ensures all students and families are supported and welcomed into all facets of College life.

Brisbane Christian College incorporates international students into mainstream lessons with an opportunity to improve their English in a specially designed course, involving up to a maximum of five lessons per week for students in Years 1 to 6 and four lessons per week for students in Years 7 to 12.

International Student Testimonial

“I came from Singapore about 6 weeks ago. The school I came from was a massive school compared to Brisbane Christian College. Having fewer students in a class here means that the teachers can have more interaction with the students. Teachers get to know their weaknesses and strengths and have more time to help them or show them.
Also, the students can get to know each other better too. The students here are also friendly and kind. They help me when I need help. Even before the teacher could explain to me what to do in class, students beside me had already clarified what I needed to do. To conclude, I think that friendliness is the key point to educational life, and this school provides it all.”
