Academic Pathway

The Pathway of Excellence: Academic program provides for students who are seeking to gain direct entry into University. Students benefit from focused classrooms where all of their peers share their aspirations of gaining University qualifications. The goal is not only for students to achieve a successful entry into university but to equip students to be successful university graduates.

Students in this pathway undertake six Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority General subjects. They also participate in Christian Studies and Family Group lessons. Partnerships have been developed with several Brisbane universities where, on a number of occasions throughout the year, students attend university campuses to utilise university facilities and expertise. Guest speakers also come to the College to address students and provide further guidance on how to achieve success at school and university. Some students may also seek entry to university through a combination of General subjects and the completion of a TAFE/ university course. This may benefit students whose predicted ATAR results
may not be sufficient for their favoured university course.
