Primary School Learning Intervention Teacher Assistant, commencing in January 2026
The College seeks to appoint an experienced person to this vital role in our Primary School to assist teachers by adding an extra layer of in-class and pull-out support to individuals and/or small groups of children who may need extra assistance in their learning.
Specific Requirements, Qualifications, Certifications and Work-related Experience:
- Due to the nature of the role, the College prefers to have Learning Intervention Teacher Assistants who have Degrees in Education and experience in a Primary School setting
- A current Blue Card for working with children issued by the Queensland Government, or a current QCT Teacher Registration
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills to support the Prep to Year 5 curriculum
- Demonstrated competence and confidence in using a computer/iPad and relevant software packages, e.g., Microsoft Office Package.

Middle & Secondary School Teacher Assistant
The College seeks to appoint an experienced, mature person to this vital role in our Middle & Secondary School.
Responsible to: Head of Enrichment and Learning Support and the Head of Middle & Secondary Campus.
Position type: Up to five days per week, forty weeks per year
Commencement date: Monday, 16 June 2025.
Specific Requirements, Qualifications, Certifications and Work-related Experience:
- A current Blue Card for working with children issued by the Queensland Government
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills to support the Year 9 to Year 12 curriculum
- Cert IV in Education Support and prior experience working with children preferred
- Demonstrated competence and confidence in using a computer/iPad and relevant software packages, e.g., Microsoft Office Package
- Knowledge and prior use of the College Administration package (TASS) and the College Learning Management System (Schoolbox) would be an advantage, although not essential.

Maternity leave Teacher contracts, commencing Term 4 2025
Brisbane Christian College is looking for two exceptional, experienced teachers for maternity leave contracts. Teaching areas could include combinations of Mathematics, Science, Geography, Business Studies and Chinese. Applicants with qualifications and/ or experience in any of these subject areas are encouraged to apply.

School Bus Drivers
The College is seeking to secure experienced and qualified Christian bus drivers to join its transport team for morning and afternoon school bus runs in school terms. These positions are for a minimum of 21 hours per week, and extra hours are available for additional events.
The ideal candidate will:
- have experience in guiding children
- be a dependable worker with a positive nature
- have a high commitment to best practice and personal learning
- demonstrate an ability to think and work independently
- fully support the Christian ethos of the College.
Essential qualifications are:
- a Light Rigid (LR) driver’s licence. A Heavy Rigid (HR) driver’s licence is desirable.
- a current Blue Card (Queensland Working with Children Check)
- a current Industry Authority card.
Position type: Casual employment, $35.29/hour, 21+ hours per week

The College is seeking to recruit relief Teachers and relief Teacher Assistants across the three campuses of the College: Pre-Prep (Kindy), Primary School (Prep to Year 5) and Middle & Secondary School (Years 6 to 12). The successful applicants will hold a current Queensland College of Teacher Registration or a blue card for working with children, and will be able to fully support the Christian ethos of the College.
