College History
Formerly known as Southside Christian College, our College was birthed on 14 April, 1985. Commencing with 16 primary-aged students, parents from Southside Christian Renewal Centre (now known as Life Church) desired to provide a faith-based education for their children and the local community.
Today, Brisbane Christian College continues to thrive as a ministry of Life Church across three campuses.

The College was opened by Pastor Chris Peterson on a renovated industrial site with 12 staff. From the very beginning the school was a partnership between parents and the church who wanted to give their children a high quality Christian education.
Primary Campus

The College originally started on this site which now hosts our Primary School Campus for students from Prep to Year 5 across three streams.
Pre-Prep Centre. 2010
28 Rookwood Avenue, Coopers Plains
The Pre-Prep Centre opened in March 2010 to meet the local need for an educational play-based program along with leading facilities, colourful outdoor play area and christian worldview.
Middle and Secondary Campus. 2016
63 Fairlie Terrace, Salisbury
In 2016, Brisbane Christian College opened the Middle and Secondary Campus on Fairlie Terrace after the successful purchase of the former Nyanda State High School campus. Years 6-12 students enjoy this bushland campus that is conveniently located just a few minutes from our Primary School Campus and Pre-Prep Centre.
Middle School Precinct. 2026

With a proposed launch date of 2026, the new Middle School Precinct is an exciting and purpose-built educational development offering eleven generous-sized classrooms and multiple large outdoor learning spaces. Nestled amongst the harmonious surroundings of our bushland campus, this precinct will strengthen our already spacious campus while increasing opportunities for the entire Middle and Secondary College and effectively position us for our future years.
In 2015, our church and college community celebrated the 30th anniversary of Brisbane Christian College. As part of this significant milestone, we created these videos to honour our rich history, leadership and the foundation that has prepared us to reach young people for generations to come!
